Hi.

Pattern adventures, the Shawlette

I did it. I finally wrote a pattern...and I've tested it and it's good to go. Please visit over here if you would like to check it out.

This pattern is called Shawlette, and it is the very first of the new line of fig&me | handcraft patterns that I will be adding to the sewing, knitting and crochet repertoire. I am working on a special surprise to have as a free download, but I really want to test it and add several options for finishing (and photos!), so you are going to have to wait a little longer for that one.

I am very, very pleased with this venture. It has given me so much pleasure to design clothes for the dolls, and now I am really happy to be able to offer some of these designs to you and your creative hands. This pattern was done with a few friends in mind who have just started knitting for their dolls, and I just didn't want to keep them waiting any longer. Knitting is such a meditative craft so I thought it was my responsibility to bring this pattern to fruition already!

I hope you like it. It is a very simple pattern, written for absolute beginners, and it's so quick and easy to make. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. And please, enjoy!.

Note: if you have issues understanding how to work short rows please browse knitting videos on you tube, it is very informative and enlightening to see hands at work.
