Meet Joy, Belle and Holly, the Sweet Pepper Mints
Finally, the wait is over!
After several weeks, feverish nights and a lot of scissor action in the studio, I can present to you this trio: Joy, Belle and Holly. My Christmas 2025 doll collection.
Find them here: Fig & Me Christmas Emporium.
Joy was immediately reserved to travel as a companion with another custom doll currently in the works, so Belle and Holly are the ones being offered up for adoption.
The making of these three little dolls has been documented on my YouTube channel so you can watch them come into being!
Ep. 1 | Designing a Christmas Doll Collection | What I promised I wasn’t going to do this year).
Joy is the youngest, so Holly and Belle (born mere minutes before her) are very happy she found a home so quickly. They know she won’t travel alone too so that gives them much comfort. Nobody likes seeing their little sister travel across the world unaccompanied, right?
I mentioned in my first video that I wasn’t going to put a Christmas doll collection this year, as I had many other plans on the burner…but then I had this dream and I couldn’t stop thinking about them. My husband, always the fountain of creative ideas, came up with a great story for them and very soon you will be able to read and potentially see it as well, if we manage to make a little video of it.
This little girl above is Miss Joy, and the first two are Belle and Holly. They are all 9” tall, made with my Mini Fig doll pattern.
They have the cutest chubby legs and rounded bellies with glass beads for added weight, sweetly stuffed arms and permanent wooly hairstyles. Their hair was sewn in position, something I’ve been wanting to do for ages!
Now that you’ve seen them, you can imagine how much fun it was to make them and seeing their personalities take place.
Holly is the eldest, an expert baker and spice connoisseur. She loves to make ‘care packages’ for all the aging neighbours and always decorates with hand-written poems or funny sayings.
Belle is the mischief-maker in the middle. Always surprising everyone, cracking jokes, and being so full of energy we are not quite sure where she comes from.
Joy is the little sister, a little shy but very pampered by the other two. She sits back and observes the show, as they say. Has a quiet voice but I believe she is an old soul. Whenever she contributes her opinion, she always has such a wise and common-sense approach.
I’ve always said, when making dolls, make them from your heart. And this trio is no exception. They have brought me endless joy ⭐️ and it is my hope they go where they belong and do the same for you or a loved one.
