A new doll, for my daughter.
His name is Kaito, and we are all smitten.
As I told you in yesterday’s newsletter, I am deep in the belly of creation, coming up with creative answers for the capricious requests of my youngest daughter, who wishes to receive a doll made by me for her 12th birthday. How could I deny such an amazing opportunity to extend the doll making muscle?
The ‘design brief’ was quite long, and I should be able to tell you more as the week advances and the date draws near. But for now, let me show you some clips from earlier today.
He is all assembled now and has half his hair, so we are progressing at amazing speed. The hardest part is now behind us.
One of the many requests for this boy doll was for him to have “anime eyes”. Whatever that means, this was my solution.
She loves his eyes, even the addition of his inquiring eyebrows, and I am a proud mother, twice over. I will keep you posted on Kaito’s adventures.
