Online Doll Making Class: March 2019 Edition.

Online Doll Making Class: March 2019 Edition.

I have been itching to come and let everybody know about the upcoming online doll making class I will be teaching during the month of March 2019. As you already know, I taught this class last October, with marvellous students and beautiful doll fairies as a result. Let me show you what some of my talented students created.

The class is taught entirely through videos and paced with two different classes each week. Each class has several lessons to go through, but that way my students had a chance to absorb the class instructiion, get to work and then take the next instalment, all from the comfort of their own homes and at their own pace.

Some of them worked at night, others mainly on the weekends. We had a new mama that had to work and join the weekend Live meetings while carrying her beautiful newborn baby. But all of my students committed to work on their fairy, to ask as many questions as they encounter and to show up to cheer each other on.

I won’t lie, this first group of students was very special. Not only because it was my very first online class - honestly I couldn’t have asked for more attentive and patient students, but perhaps it was their joy at discovering they could totally tackle dollmaking via an online class that fostered such a beautiful environment for them to learn.

I opened a private facebook group just for the class where they posted weekly photos of their process and on the weekends we joined a private online classroom where we could all see each other, show our dolls, and chat. It was so special and all the dolls that came out of the class were chock-full of personality. Each one different in their own right since they were created from loving hands all over the world.

I had students attending from all corners of the world: USA, Canada, Israel, Azerbaijan, Norway, Australia, France, The Netherlands, Portugal and Colombia. With such different time zones we were still able to hold the weekend meetings and find common ground to share in the joy of our weekly making. I k now for a fact that for some of them, those meetings were hard to attend in the midst of their busy lives, but I also know they looked forward to sitting down and talking to their new friends and showing everybody what they were making.

And now the time has come to teach this class again. The Spring or should I say March edition of this extremely fun class is now open and will start this coming Friday March 1st. If you would like to book your spot and work with my guidance in the creation of a lovely fairy made of cloth and wool, then this is your chance. You can read more about the class HERE and you can book your spot over HERE.

I will be back this week with some insight regarding the areas of doll making I am mostly concentrating in over the months ahead as well as a very long over due post on my favourite doll making tools and supplies. But first I have to head to Patreon to post the new dollmaking tutorial. See you all soon!.
