I finally convinced Fer to don some pretty clothes. Very happy to confirm she likes the good things in life, like flowers, time with friends and family, lazy afternoons and cups of sun-brewed tea. That is exactly how we spent our day today. It was beautiful.
Fernanda however, is ready to find a family, where she can bring some of her sweet nature and little magic to life. I hope you are nurturing and welcoming enough to open your heart to her.
Fernanda is an all natural doll, made by me. She is made with cotton interlock, stuffed very firmly with clean wool. Her sculpted face was done with needle-felting, and her eyes are embroidered with cotton floss. Her extremely long hair is made with clean suri alpaca locks triple-sewn into wefts, then hand-sewn to her head. I gave her a bit of a crazy hair-cut with large bangs. She sports many original design particulars of my larger dolls, like sculpted pot-belly, bum, tiny ears, etc. She is made, however, not with the Figlette pattern but with the Little Fig. She is 15" tall and ready for play.
She comes wearing balloon overalls made with japanese cotton, these are gathered at front and back and have elastic on legs. She is wearing double-jersey cotton underpants, in a boxer style. Her little socks are made of cotton and her little boots made of linen yarn. She has a lenghty spring scarf made of floral linen, and as a last item she requested a wee crown made of cotton torsion lace.
Due to the nature of her hair, which is fragile and needs to be finger-styled, I recommend her for an older child or an adult collector (7+). Her price is $625 USD plus postage. Her care instructions will be emailed to you upon shipping. Taxes apply to Canadian residents.
