These hands are made for making dolls, and that's just what they do. And they do it with pleasure, that's for sure. After three whole blissful days, my new working schedule, in the inner sanctum, I have now a few little dolls made with love and cashmere, ready for you.
As you can see, they are all a bit surprised by the massive amounts of snow we are getting in southern Ontario, so they requested a cozy cape to wear. I hope they can all come with one, I will try my very best. Some fuzzy skeins of alpaca yarn were contemplated, a few mohair and silk ones too but we still don't have a consensus. One of them however was especially fond of the prototype and called it her own. Then she asked to be photographed with two of my Christmas presents: a child wooden shoe form and a snowflake beeswax candle, both of which sit in front of me, on my window ledge, on top of my sewing machine. Every now and then, as I was busy sewing and snipping and blowing cashmere fluff off the sewing machine, looking up through that frosty window into a white world full of flurries made me smile.
The little family of 15 deers I have just created, will become available for you on Wednesday January 7th at 9:30 AM EDT in my Indiecart store. If they come with a little cape they will be priced at $145 USD, otherwise they will be their usual $135 USD, plus postage charges (taxes applicable to Canadian residents). I have a few cute surprises right after we find these little ones a cozy home. So do come back!.
El nuevo año ha comenzado, dandome la oportunidad de trabajar por tres dias enteros en mi adorado estudio de costura y manufactura de muñecas. Con las nevadas de principios de Enero mis pequeñas criaturas abogaron por el abrigo tejido a mano de su segura servidora, asi que prontamente averiguamos que madejas de estambre le apetecen a mis bellos venaditos. Cuando no hubo quorum para la decision unanime, decidimos aplazar el tejido, mas sin embargo es mi plan mandarlos todos a sus nuevos hogares con abrigo alrededor de sus pequeños hombros. Esta familia de quince muñequitos estara a la venta este Miércoles 7 de Enero a las 9:30 AM (Toronto) en mi nueva tienda de Indiecart. Espero que se puedan dar una vuelta y llevarse una de estas criaturas a sus hogares. Y por aquello de que no se entuman, tengo una que otra sorpresilla bajo la manga, asi que vuelvan pronto para que no se la pierdan. Esta mujer es de lo mas vaga.
