With summer in mind

Although it doesn't seem to want to show its pretty head around this neck of the woods, we can still rejoice on the Solstice party. I will have a few outfits ready for sale tomorrow at 10:00 PM EST. I will add previews to the Gallery at some point during the day (tomorrow) and list prices and all of that. We are still trying to decide buttons, and things of said nature.

Mr. Peter is getting his second outfit finished...and we were having this long and winded conversation about what kind of hat, and what type of buttons he wants. He mentioned something about new shoes, so we will see. Tinker was comfortably snuggled in a blanket cocoon and we decided not to wake her up for our morning photo shoot. Let her sleep, she needs it.

I also wanted to mention that I will be offering four custom doll spots in about a week or two. I have been looking very carefully at my schedule, programming supplies, and thinking about another move in our family's future. All things that ought to be considered for the second half of this year. Two spots will be offered for children, two spots for collectors. The spots will go up like this:

Spot One. Custom doll for a young child.
Offered in a 13"/16"/18" tall doll.
For newbies only. Meaning, only those children with no dolls from me can be eligible for this spot. Spot will be offered comment-style, and once selected I will email a file with all the necessary information, including pricing for each size.
Payment is done in two stages, half when I start working on your doll;
the balance + shipping charges when the doll is finished.

Spot Two. Custom doll for a young child.
Offered in a 13"/16"/18" tall doll.
For newbies only. Meaning, only those children with no dolls from me can be eligible for this spot. Spot will be offered comment-style, and once selected I will email a file with all the necessary information, including pricing for each size.

Spot Three. Custom doll for an older child or a collector.
**Offered to anybody, there are NO restrictions on this spot
Custom spot is for a 21" Figlette
Doll will come with two outfits and a few extras.

Price will then be established, and will be done in two payments.
Half when I start working on your doll and the rest when I am finished.
Please be advised that I normally charge around $560 for a doll this size,
with two full outfits and a few extras.

Spot Four. Custom doll for an older child or a collector.
**Offered to anybody, there are NO restrictions on this spot
Custom spot is for a 21" Figlette
Doll will come with two outfits and a few extras.
This spot will be offered via auction (system to be determined).
Payment must be done in full as soon as auction has ended.
I will then contact you and you can start telling me all about
the little personality you want me to create for you.

**I just re-phrased this text, as I think I wrote it in my very weird english.
The 21" Figlette spots have no restrictions, meaning that if you already have a Fig&Me doll (custom, bought through the store, etc...) you can still either leave a comment for the spot comment-style and/or try your hand at the auctioned one.
The only spots offered exclusively to Newbies are Spot One and Two.

I am very excited to finally be able to offer a few more custom spots, and after much consideration I think these four dolls are as much as I can commit for now, taking into consideration the busy months ahead of me, the Fall collections and all of that. I should also mention that these dolls will be made during August-November, and the last doll should be shipped mid-November. The way I work is, I organize the spots, I take one, I charge that person that first payment, work on their doll, finish it and ship it and then we move to the next spot, then they pay their first instalment, I work on their doll...and so forth. That way, there is not a lot of time passed between payments, you know I am working on your doll, and I am working at a steady and comfortable pace. So, stay tuned for the date when the spots will be offered comment style, and for the auctioned one, which will go up once I have selected all the other spots. There will be plenty of time to leave a comment so don't worry about that. Now, I am off to work on those pretty clothes. Happy Solstice!
