Hi.

In the land of Wool

Je je! There really is so much wool everywhere...in the corners of my sewing room, wisps of wool on the carpet...on my table...on my hair! wool everywhere. Why? well, I have been having this love affair with needle felting, but more importantly, I had the extreme need to create some play food sets.

I think I am going to split the thing in two. The one done in crochet and the one needle felted. I wanted to make three or four but, as usually happens around here, there is not enough hours in the day. The crochet one still needs "whipped cream" embellishment and some cute buttons to add more yummy factor.

I think this two sets are quite cute, and will entice many tea parties and joyful celebrations in your home. And I believe some dolls will be so happy if they get to play with some sweets breads and tarts and what not. Do you agree?

And the gnome belongs to a "Snow White-inspired" outfit as well. The bear? well, that one is going to go with a pillow and a blanket, three must haves for bed time.

Now, one of the "costume inspired" outfits I will have on Wednesday, is this ballerina set. I have never made a ballerina doll, although both my little girls dance and romp around all day. We are not quite on the ballet boat just yet, but they asked for a tutu for one of their dolls and so I thought to make one for a dollie out there. This set contains a leotard with elastic straps, a hand knit wrap and a tutu that closes with fabric ties. So... I better get moving or I won't make it happen. The update will take place on Wednesday Nov. 30th at 5:00 PM Eastern. I will add more photos tomorrow and Wednesday morning. Be sure to check it all out as there are so many things that make me laugh just looking at them!
