Aurora, a Kismet doll

Oh hi!
This is sweet Aurora, part of the little family of boreal dolls that I just created.

She is available comment-style to those who would love to bring her into their home. She is available to everybody, not just newbies this time. Comments will be open for 2 days, and then we will select a person and notify them via email. Comments will then be closed. So if you personally wish to bring Aurora into your home, please leave a comment and I will select a winner on Thursday Nov. 3rd at around 11:00 am eastern.

Aurora is a natural doll, handmade by me. She stands 16.5 inches tall and is made of wool and cotton. Her hair is a mix of mohair and wool, and has been applied to a cap sewn to her head, to allow for a variety of hairstyles.

Aurora comes dressed in a sweet headband made with lace and little faux-pearls. I had every intention of making her a crown, but my daughter suggested I took a day-off and so there was just not enough time. She is happy with the trade off though. She also is wearing a long linen dress, with tulle ruffles and ribbon ties, and her linen underpants.

Her little boots are made of alpaca and wool, and close with wooden buttons to the sides. She also has a hand knit wrap, that covers only her arms, and is made with a merino/silk blend. Super soft stuff.

I think Aurora is a stunning beauty. Something very breathtaking about all that handspun hair and her warm mocha skin tone. I have written about the inspiration behind her, so you can read more about her. Aurora was designed for a child 5+, due to her size, the nature of her clothes and her hair. Please be mindful of this as there are small wooden buttons that can pose a choking hazard to a younger child.

If you wish to take Aurora into your home, please leave a comment on this post and we will patiently wait to see where she will go. Her price is $265 plus shipping to wherever you are.

Comments closed! I am off to notify the winner, please check your emails shortly. This person will have 24 hours to respond to me and arrange all the necessary procedures to take Aurora home. Thank you so much for expressing your intentions. I hope I can make more dolls in the future!
