Hi.

Welcome to my dollmaking journal. I write doll stories, share tips on this creative journey and so much more. Hope you enjoy your visit!.

Four little troublemakers

Before I left home to go and pick up my children, I had almost finished these four little dolls. I have been working on them for quite an eternity, so my heart is happy and full when I finally see them romping about in my studio.

Tonne is a bird lover, Tina takes care of bears; Tilly likes to play with the spotted fawn and Tula hops all over the place with the bunnies in the meadow. Their outfits are quite whimsical, and full of texture and pattern. Like I mentioned in the summer newsletter sent a few weeks ago, they were going to be dressed a little funkier than usual.

All the little velour boots are finished, and I have woven the ends of their soft hand knit shawls. Their dresses have the proper amounts of gathered tulle and their pants have elastic on the waists. So all I need to do now is add ties to their hats, and we are ready!. These four dolls will be sold comment-style tomorrow (for one day only) here on this blog. Two of them will be available to newbies only, meaning I will only allow comments from those who do not own a Fig&me doll in their home. The other two will be available to anyone who wishes to bring them home. I ask you to take your time to see which doll speaks to you, and not submit your comment on all of them please. I will post more photos of them tonight and early tomorrow on my flickr gallery, and publish their posts with all details. They all measure 17" tall, have wefted mohair, come with six items of clothing, and will be $545 USD plus postage charges.  See you tomorrow with more photos of them and their whimsical hats.
